Mount Kenya, the second-highest mountain in Africa, rises to 5,199 meters (17,057 feet) above sea level. Located in central Kenya, this UNESCO World Heritage Site boasts rugged peaks, glaciers, and diverse ecosystems. Hiking Mount Kenya offers a challenging and scenic adventure, with routes passing through dense forests, moorlands, and rocky landscapes. Mount Kenya, Africa's second-highest peak, offers a variety of trekking routes with diverse landscapes. The 8-day itinerary outlined below focuses on the Sirimon Route, one of the more scenic and accessible paths, and includes a full acclimatization process to maximize your chances of reaching the summit.

Day 1: Nairobi to Sirimon Gate to Old Moses Camp

06:00 - 07:00: Pickup from your hotel in Nairobi and drive to Sirimon Gate (approximately 4-5 hours).
12:00: Arrive at Sirimon Gate, complete registration, and start the trek to Old Moses Camp.
15:00: Arrive at Old Moses Camp. Enjoy lunch and relax.
16:00 - 18:00: Explore the area around the camp or relax to acclimatize.
