Morning
8:00 AM: Hotel Pickup
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the fishing village of Fumba, located on the southwestern coast of Zanzibar. The drive usually takes about 30-45 minutes from Stone Town.
9:00 AM: Departure from Fumba Village
Board a Traditional Dhow: From Fumba, you will board a traditional wooden dhow, specially equipped for the Blue Safari. The dhow will sail through the beautiful waters of Menai Bay Conservation Area, which is known for its stunning marine life.
9:30 AM - 10:30 AM: Visit to a Sandbank
Snorkeling and Relaxation: Your first stop is usually at a pristine sandbank. Here, you can enjoy snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, where you’ll have the chance to see a variety of tropical fish and coral reefs. If you prefer, you can simply relax on the soft white sands and enjoy the breathtaking views.
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Explore Kwale Island
Sailing to Kwale Island: After the sandbank, the dhow will sail to Kwale Island, one of the highlights of the tour.
Giant Baobab Tree: Upon arrival, you’ll visit the famous giant baobab tree on the island, which is believed to be hundreds of years old. This is a great spot for photos.

Midday
12:00 PM - 1:30 PM: Seafood Feast on Kwale Island

1:30 PM - 3:00 PM: Snorkeling and Dolphin Spotting
Snorkeling Spot: After lunch, you’ll head to another snorkeling spot in Menai Bay, where you can explore more of the vibrant marine life.
Dolphin Spotting: Menai Bay is also home to dolphins, and if you're lucky, you might see them swimming and playing in the wild. This is often a highlight of the tour.
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Return to Fumba Village
Sail Back to Fumba: The dhow will then sail back to Fumba Village, where the tour began.
Evening
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Return to Hotel
After disembarking at Fumba, your guide will transfer you back to your hotel, concluding the tour.
